You should start training him now.

That’s why GSDs are my favorite breed – look at that focus! So willing to learn, and at only 4.5 months! :) Beautiful dog, great job to both of you.

Yuliya! You are awesome. I asked you about my pup Kaya about a month ago and your professional opinion meant so much to me. She is coming along great and weighs 32 lbs at 3.75 months. She can sit, stay, down, come and as of yesterday she is a master of SPEAK! She follows silent hand commands equally as well as verbal. This is truly an amazing breed.

actually the dog’s ears now are perfect, they came up one week ago with no problem. thanks for all advices there.

It has to do with the teething process, they will come back up don’t worry.

love´s that if you love your puppy it doesn´t matter how he looks like

  22. by masafa1990, on August 1 2009 @ 2:12 am

Yes, I think it’s because the dog is teething. the Funny thing is, last week the dog’s ears were perfect for two days, and then one ear came down again lol. I like my dog and it doesn’t really matter how the ears look like.

its normal you only have to wait

  24. by 2manygangstacheeses, on August 1 2009 @ 2:12 am

there ears will always change during their life span, its completely normal dont worry. I have a GSD and when he was just a little pup, his ears were completely down and floppy..he is now 5 months and his ears are almost completely up…they will either stay like that for life or change as he grows, it really just depends on his genes, if he is a mix, etc…hope this helped

Hi Masafa1990! I have a GSD now, and what you are experiencing is completely normal. “Wyatt’s” ears went straight up at about 8 weeks and then low and behold his left one fell about a month later. I have read that if your dogs ears stand up very early it is a sign of a wonderful breed. Good luck and enjoy puppyhood, it goes to quick!
