The earlier the better. I started training my dog at 5 weeks when we got her and by the time she was 3 months old she already knew many things: She could ring a bell on the doorknob to let me know she needed to go outside, she could sit, lay down, roll over, and bark on command. She knew how to do all these things by verbal command, and by hand signal. I could use either or both ways of telling her to do something. If I had waited to teach her these things until she was 3 months old I would have had to UNtrain the bad habits she had learned. Dogs are always learning so you might as well make sure it’s something you want them to be learning, right?

They are never too young to start training. Mom started the process the day they were born.

You can start at home. Check with the place that you are going to take him and see if they have any restrictions.

As soon as they are old enough to be sold they are old enough to train.

get started as soon as u lay eyes on it. if there is gonna be more than one owner (hubby and wife) the same signal has to come from each of u. Like if u don’t want the doggy on the couch, BOTH of you have to tell it to get down. or it won’t work.

Dogs under 4 months of age start with Puppy Kindergarten or Puppy Manners,then go on to the next age group..
You should always start training your pup from day one at home,he may have no idea whats going on,but be consistent in your words, do’s, and don’ts,he will soon learn.Give clear demands,keeping them short,rewarding good behaviour.Always be firm,but do not shout at puppy,this confuses your dog.Be gentle with your dog,lots of cuddles, and above all lots of love and affection! They are never too young. You can start training your dog at any age. My mom started training her two dogs who are now 10 as soon as she got them at 6 and 8 weeks. You just start with the sit, stay and lay down command and work from there. It’s hard work but it’s worth it. Dogs are pretty smart and they usually learn pretty fast too

You should start from Day one easy but fun work and make it hard the older they get. If you wait till there Older it can get very hard to train cause you have to brake the bad habit on top of training it to behave.
