Hi. I have a dog that is a 6 year old Golden Retriever. She used to be a show dog, and well trained but she’s beginning to forget (3 years later…) and she is kinda dumb now. I want to train her to do basics stay, sit, lay down and shake. Unfortunately, she’s a allergy-nut so she can’t eat treats. I don’t really know what to do, and I’m unable to take her to obedience training. Any tips?

Use everything else as an incentive.
Make feeding time a time for earning food.
Feed the dog by hand for about 2 weeks straight. Every meal needs to be earned though. I would recommend having one hand for food and the food in another place. Make the dog do the basic things, then reward her with the food. Just about a small handful. I would start with some basic things like, Come and sit. Then with every-other meal you can add another trick. The important part is that for a good month or 2, mattering on how fast your dog is at picking them up, only do the tricks if your dog is going to get a reward. This will instill the basic tricks with food. Then when you gradually start weening her off of hand feeding, you can incorporate skipping rewards.
I would also recommend using things like toys or her favorite activities, like going outside, to having a basic command. Like sit become the toys is thrown or lay down before being able to go outside.
Make sure every trick has a reward whether it be physical praise or some regular food. This keep the incentive to keep listening to you.
Good luck
